Rotary Club of Bangalore Cantonment (RCBC) which is in its 30th year was chartered in District 3190, in June 1984, with a membership of 34 charter members and Rtn. Santosh Nedungadi as its Charter President and Rtn. P J Reddy as the Club Secretary.

The club was sponsored by Rotary Bangalore East, under President Rtn. SA Chandran and Dist. Governor Rtn. BG Ramprasad.

The club administers a not-for-profit charitable trust registered in 1985 under the Societies Act - “Bangalore Cantonment Rotary Trust” which undertakes all service projects of the club. All donations towards Projects are collected by "Bangalore Cantonment Rotary Trust" which are maintained in a separate account and audited annually.

The members contribution of their time and resources has helped the club achieve an excellent performance year after year in upholding the ideals and principles of Rotary, and in serving community to the best of our ability

The members of the club contribute towards all expenses of the club. No funds are solicited or collected from anyone else other than members of the club for all meeting, administrative and fellowship expenses. The financial accounts of the club are audited annually by an external auditor.

The members meet every Thursday at 7 PM. The first two years, the members met at the United Theological College, Millers Road, Bangalore and subsequently since then meet at Rotary house of Learning, Near Coles Park, Bangalore.

The core value of the club as envisaged by Rotary International’s core values are service, fellowship, diversity, integrity and leadership.

The Club publishes an in house Monthly Bulletin named the ‘The Banner” which first made its appearance on 24th June 1984 and has been published regularly for the last 30 years. Special issues have been brought out on a number of occasions.

The Club has a highly active Senior Citizens’ Club which was started on 7th February, 1985 and been functioning actively since then year after year. The current membership strength is 130.

The Club has also sponsored a Rotary Community Corp (RCC) at Arvindnagar which was started in 2002 and is actively working in the local community.
